Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Republic of Korea, on a working visit to Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Mayor of Gyeongsan city Lee Kang Hak, visited Namangan region to discuss prospects for the development of interregional cooperation.

The South Korean delegation also included representatives of education, information technology and trade, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the trip, they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the Namangan Ishga Markhamat monocenter. Further, representatives of Gyeongsan and Namangan held talks, at which they discussed issues of cooperation in the field of education, tourism and digital technologies.

In addition, the South Korean delegation visited the Namangan State Institute of Foreign Languages, where topical issues of bilateral cooperation were considered. The guests also got acquainted with the complex and museum of Ishak Khan Ibrat, historical monuments of the material culture of the settlement of Akhsiket, the complex "Ahsi Sayyidlari".

The South Korean city of Gyeongsang is one of the industrialized cities with strong performance in the field of machine parts, construction and digital technology.
