Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The second panel session, organized within the framework of the forum, focused on the cooperation of local representative bodies in Central Asian countries in the socio-economic development of regions.
It was noted that local representative bodies play a vital role in the development and approval of territorial budgets, socio-economic development programs, and in overseeing their implementation.
During the session, participants thoroughly reviewed national practices of local deputies, discussed pressing regional issues, and exchanged views.
The session also addressed the activation of cooperation between local representative bodies in border regions of Central Asian countries and the measures being taken in this direction.
During the discussions, local deputies shared practical results from the socio-economic development programs implemented in their territories and exchanged experiences on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Additionally, proposals were made to develop cooperation programs aimed at establishing and strengthening collaboration between corresponding local representative authorities.
