"The two-day international Uzbek textile fair, which resulted in the signing of about 200 contracts totalling over US$400 million, is clear evidence of Uzbekistan’s growing reputation on the world textile market, the expansion of the number of its foreign partners, who are ready to cooperate with us, and of an increase in the quality and competitiveness of local production," the report said.
The event was organized by the Ozbekyengilsanoat (Uzbek light industry) state joint-stock company and the Uzbek ministry for foreign economic relations, investment and trade. Representatives of over 200 companies from over 30 countries such as Russia, China, Japan, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the UAE, Egypt, South Korea, India, Pakistan and Turkey took part in the fair, the report added.
