Students from all regions of Uzbekistan participated in the contest as in previous years. The preliminary stage of the contest was held at 16 universities and the winners were invited to the final phase in the Embassy of Germany in Tashkent.

The contest is aimed at developing German language in Uzbekistan. Young participants presented their opinion on set topic in German language.

The finalists presented a five-minute report on one of four topics and answered to questions of the jury.

Iroda Imailova, a student of Urgench State University, won the contest. Gulsanam Rasulova, a student of Andijan State University was second, and Mahkam Hamidov from University of World Economy and Diploma and Barno Ahmadjanova from the Uzbek State University of World Languages were third.

All participants and the winners received prizes, which included books and audio discs.
