Consumers of banking services evaluated the quality of banking services in commercial banks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank in the city of Tashkent conducted a survey among consumers of banking services regarding the quality of the provision of their services by banks.

The study was carried out in the form of blitz interviews with commercial banks’ clients, in which 1,092 respondents took part (450 - individuals and 642 - business entities).

The survey to assess the quality of banking services in commercial banks was based on four criteria (reliability, competence, responsiveness and customer support).

According to consumers of banking services, the quality of service in five banks (Ipak Yuli Bank, Asia Alliance Bank, Invest Finance Bank, Orient Finance Bank, Kapitalbank), in comparison with other banks, is assessed as "good", while the quality of service in the other eight banks (Uzpromstroybank, National Bank, Trustbank, Hamkorbank, Alokabank, Ipoteka Bank, Turon Bank, Asaka Bank) - “satisfactory”.

At the same time, the respondents believe that the quality of service in such banks as Poytakht Bank, Microcreditbank, Qishloq Qurilish Bank, Agrobank, Khalk Banks, Davr Bank “does not satisfy” their needs.

It should be noted that the results of this study are formed solely from the views and opinions of consumers of banking services, expressed during the survey, and are not the position of the Central Bank.

The Central Bank will continue on an ongoing basis to conduct measures to assess the quality of services provided in banks through a survey of consumers of banking services, the results of which will be provided to the general public through the communication channels of the Central Bank.

In the future, the Central Bank intends to expand tools for assessing the quality of banking services in commercial banks, including through the use of the "secret client" mechanism, as well as the introduction of advanced international standards.
