Consumer prices for goods and services in November grow by 2% in average
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Consumer prices for goods and services increased by 2% in average in Uzbekistan in November 2017, the press service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

In particular, prices for food products rose by 1.5%, non-food prices - by 3.4% and services - by 0.5%.

The level of prices for fruit and vegetable products was formed under the influence of the seasonal factor. Most significantly growth of the prices was recorded for fresh tomatoes and cucumbers - by 60.6% and 54.0% respectively, grapes - by 19.8%, apples - by 14.1%.

Along with this, prices for carrots decreased by 17.2%, onion - by 13.9%, cabbage - by 12.9%, potatoes - by 1.1%.

Non-food products in November became more expensive by 3.4%, which led to an increase in the consumer price index (CPI) by 1.2 percentage points.

The main increase is due to the introduction of new gasoline prices (an increase in prices by an average of 39.7%), which ensured an increase in the CPI by 0.5 percentage points (the share of influence on the consolidated CPI is 26.5%).

In the sphere of paid services, tariffs for the population increased only by 0.5% in November. This led to an increase in the consolidated CPI by 0.1 percentage points.

The main inflation factors in this area were the increase in tariffs for household services - by 2.0% and the cost of training in foreign language courses - by 2.2%.
