Construction of the head office of Uzpromstroybank in the Tashkent International Business Center is now fully under way

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No.3895 as of 2 August  2018 “On measures to create modern business centers in the territory of the Republic”, the construction of the Tashkent City International Business Center is underway and designed to create a new image of the capital city of Uzbekistan.

Uzpromstroybank did not stand aside from participating in such a unique project in the modern history of the country. Currently, Uzpromstroybank plans to build a bank head office on the territory of Tashkent City. According to the project design, it is planned to build a 33-storey building with a height of 161 meters on an area of 81,076 m2.

In addition, as part of the bank's strategy to implement the principles of Green banking in its activities, the new building will be certified by BREEAM.

For reference: Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) is a voluntary rating for assessing green buildings, developed in 1990 by the British organization BRE Global to assess the environmental performance of buildings. This method of assessing the construction of buildings allows you to cover all aspects of construction, from planning, design, construction and commissioning.

A key benefit of BREEAM certification is the efficient allocation of environmental resources such as energy, water, and sustainable materials, which creates a sustainable and safe natural environment and office space for building workers. BREEAM certified buildings are more attractive to tenants in the market, ensuring that all stages of construction are carried out in strict accordance with green standards.

To finance this project, Uzpromstroybank signed a loan agreement with a consortium of foreign banks including Credit Suisse, Citibank, China Eximbank and Raiffeisenbank in June 2021.

The deal was structured by Credit Suisse, acting as Structuring Bank, Arranger and Agent. Citibank, China Eximbank and Raiffeisenbank participated as Arrangers. Insurance coverage from China Export Credit Insurance Corporation Sinosure allowed the bank to attract financing on attractive terms.
