Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The construction of the Eltech Industrial TechnoPark, focusing on electrical engineering production, has commenced in the "Ecocity" area of Ferghana region. This project marks the beginning of initial investment projects based on "industrial mortgage."

The opening ceremony was attended by Ferghana Region Governor Kh. Bozorov, the chairman of the "Uzelttehsanoat" association M. Yunusov, the first deputy chairman of "UzSanoatQurilishbank" A.T. Ergashev, director of the Eltech Industrial TechnoPark I. Nabiyev, and other public representatives.

In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On Additional Measures to Further Enhance the Production and Export Potential of the Electrical Engineering Industry" (PQ-15), issued on January 10, 2024, the Eltech Industrial TechnoPark has expanded its activities, including establishing branches in Ferghana and Khorezm regions. The construction and installation of these facilities are ongoing.

During a video conference on September 5, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, discussions highlighted the development of techno-parks based on production cooperation with related industries.

Techno-parks in the cities of Ohangaron, Ferghana, Karshi, and Urgench, as well as "Ready Buildings," will be constructed for specific projects under mortgage conditions, with loans provided to entrepreneurs. Electrical engineering enterprises are also expected to receive up to 50% exemptions from property and profit taxes.

A targeted program for infrastructure development of the techno-park, covering an area of 10 hectares, has been approved, with four initial projects totaling US$25 million. One of the key projects involves the Turkish company DAIICHI Electronic, which supplies electronic systems for the global automotive industry. The goal of this project is to establish joint production of audio-radio devices and other multimedia components for vehicles.

The construction of the techno-park in the "Ecocity" area of Ferghana will be handed over to entrepreneurs "ready for use" under "industrial mortgage" conditions as an experimental model for Ferghana. This approach will later be implemented in other regions of the republic. The projects are being realized in collaboration with the "Uzelttehsanoat" association and "UzSanoatQurilishbank."
