Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A referendum on the law on the Constitution in a new edition will be held on 30 April 2023. The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan today adopted a resolution on holding a referendum on the law on the Constitution in a new edition.

Of the 137 deputies, 134 supported the resolution, 2 abstained, and 1 did not vote.

Now the Senate must consider the resolution. Senators are expected to consider the document on 14 March.

If the Senate approves the document, it must be published in print mass media within three days.
