Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Financial Institute hosted an international online scientific-practical conference on "Issues of harmonization of accounting and auditing with international standards in the transition to a digital economy."

The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, professors of the Tashkent Financial Institute and other higher education institutions, professors of Malaysian and Russian universities, the National Association of Accountants and Auditors of Uzbekistan, as well as heads and specialists of the Chamber of Auditors of Uzbekistan.

The conference focused on topical issues of accounting and auditing in Uzbekistan: International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the introduction of International Standards on Auditing (ISA). The conference participants also exchanged views on international experience in the implementation of IFRS and ISA.

At the conference, the head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing Methodology of the Ministry of Finance Sh.U. Khaydarov made a presentation on "Current issues of reforming accounting and auditing on the basis of international standards." During the presentation, the speaker spoke about the ongoing reforms in the field of accounting and auditing in the country, the work carried out by the Ministry of Finance on the introduction of IFRS, financial support for IFRS implementation by the state and improving the system of IFRS training.

During the conference, the participants made well-founded proposals on the issues discussed, and proposed to hold such events and dialogues on a regular basis to reform the accounting system and auditing in the country.
