Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan hosted a high-level conference where the country once again demonstrated confident steps towards joining the WTO. This was announced by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan.
"Today, with the support of the World Trade Organization, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund, we held a high-level conference where Uzbekistan once again demonstrated confident steps towards joining the WTO," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
"We are firmly committed to continuing the reforms aimed at maintaining economic growth, improving social protection, healthcare, and education, as well as upholding the rule of law. These reforms are irreversible and form the basis of our development vision," she stated.
"These goals can only be achieved with quality investments and access to global value chains. We highly appreciate the tremendous support and trust from the WTO leadership," Mirziyoyeva noted.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to join to the World Trade Organization (WTO) before the 14th Ministerial Conference, which will take place in Cameroon in 2026.
