Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, on 12 September, Cbonds, in collaboration with the National Association of Investment Institutions (NAII), is hosting the VI International Conference "Capital Market of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

The event is attended by representatives from regulators, local banks, investment companies, manufacturing enterprises, as well as international financial institutions, rating agencies, and infrastructure companies.

"Undoubtedly, we have a significant task ahead of us to transform the national capital market into a new format that meets market demands and modern trends, as well as to integrate into the global capital market.

Measures are being taken to facilitate access to the national securities market for foreign professional participants through the special legal regime of the ‘Regulatory Sandbox.’ To date, participants in the sandbox include Bank of Georgia (Georgia) and OTP Bank (Hungary).

A green bonds issuance system has also been implemented, and the first issue, carried out by the Mortgage Refinancing Company, has already been registered," said Vyacheslav Pak, First Deputy Director of the NAPP Agency, in his opening speech.

Agency employees also presented reports during the session dedicated to alternative investment instruments and the development of Islamic finance.

The conference, held annually, gathers up to 200 participants, including representatives from regulators, local banks, investment companies, manufacturing enterprises, as well as international financial institutions, rating agencies, and infrastructure companies.
