Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Japan with the assistance of the International Caravanserai of Culture Ikuo Hirayama and the Uzbekkino National Agency presents the Concert of the Laureate of the International Poppy Festival in Shakhrisabz, Ms. Maschu KOMAZAKI.

Mashu KOMAZAKI, fond of Uzbek music and playing the dutar, took third place at the International Poppy Festival, held last year in Shakhrisabz. This unique occasion of awarding a girl from Tokyo at this festival was the impetus for starting work on the creation of a joint Uzbek-Japanese-Estonian documentary and journalistic film “Silk Strings”, which will be shot by the Inson film studio commissioned by the Uzbekkino National Agency.

During his stay in Uzbekistan to shoot the film Mashchu KOMAZAKI on 27 September  at 17:00 in the International Caravanserai of Culture, Ikuo Hirayama will perform musical compositions on dutar for Uzbeks.

The concert program will include a joint performance with students of the dutar course of the Uzbek-Japanese Center under the direction of associate professor of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, artistic director of the ensemble of dutarists, Ms. Khojaeva Ruzibi.

In addition, the newly arrived Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Mr. Fujiyama Yoshinori, will make a welcoming speech at the event.
