Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights has presented an updated registry of natural monopoly entities.

The list, available on the official website of the regulatory body, includes 78 companies that provide 10 types of services, mainly in the areas of housing and utilities, as well as infrastructure.

Compared to the previous version approved in November 2023, the registry has been reduced by 11 entities. Companies operating in the fields of electricity generation and postal services have been excluded from the list.

Recent changes have affected companies such as JSC "Thermal Power Plants," "Uzbekhydroenergo" and its subsidiaries, as well as Angren and Novoangren thermal power plants. Also excluded from the registry are Uzpost, UzGasTrade, and the Chirchik Agricultural Machinery Plant.
