Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The Competition Committee has demanded that Yandex Go lower its taxi fares. The agency drew attention to the rising prices for passenger transport services via the Yandex Go platform.

In recent months, there has been an increase in the cost of passenger transport services on Yandex Go, which has led to numerous complaints from consumers.

As a result of price monitoring during the first ten days of December, significant fluctuations in fares were identified, the committee notes.

The agency reminded that YandexGO UB LLC was recognized as a digital platform operator with a dominant market position.

According to the "Competition Law," abuse of a dominant position, including setting excessively high prices, is illegal.

The Competition Committee officially warned YandexGO UB LLC about the need to take measures to lower service prices and reconsider the pricing algorithm on the platform.
