Representatives of over 30 Latvian tourism agencies and mass media participated at the work of the presentation.

Dolores Travel Services presented programme “On the way of Caravans-2010” to Latvian tour operators, which allows tourists to visit historic cities of Uzbekistan, Jahon news agency reported.

Dolores Travel Services offers seven-day and ten-day tours for tourism groups, which consists of 10, 15 or large number of people. Group travels allow significantly cut expenses and it includes expenses for travel, hotel and food.

Farkhad Rasulev, Dolores Travel Services director-general, said the best time to travel to Uzbekistan is spring from March to late May and autumn from August to late October.

He said it is possible to travel to Uzbekistan in summer, but it could be too hot for Latvian tourists. During winter, tourists can visit skiing resort Chimgan Oromgohi, which is located 90 km away from Tashkent.

Rasulev said tourists can also taste rich and diverse national cuisine along with familiarizing with historic and architectural monuments.
