Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 September 2024, the leadership of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Yasser Abdi, the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Uzbekistan.

During the discussions, the parties reviewed projects being implemented within the framework of cooperation with the IMF, the main goals of Uzbekistan’s competition policy, as well as reforms in competition development and recent changes in competition legislation.

Following the meeting, both parties agreed to continue cooperation in the development of a competitive environment.
