Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the approved new version of the Tax Code, commercial banks are included in the category of large taxpayers.

This provision was once again emphasized in a seminar held on 14 January at the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of senior officials of the banking system, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, and the State Tax Committee. The event was dedicated to the adoption of the new version of the Tax Code in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed information on the content and significance of changes and additions made to the Tax Code.

In particular, it was noted that in accordance with Article 20 of the Tax Code, banks (head offices) provide tax reporting and pay taxes (fees) centrally, taking into account separate divisions.

The seminar participants received answers from all representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Committee. Also, representatives of the banking system exchanged views on the adopted Tax Code.
