Combining of financial forces: a meeting of the head of the UZCE and a representative of Refinitiv takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rashid Usmanov, General Director of the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange JSC (UZCE), held a meeting with a representative of Refinitiv company, Mrs. Aigyun Muzaffarli, as part of a strategic partnership in the development of financial markets in Uzbekistan.

Refinitiv is a member of the London Stock Exchange Group, is one of the world's largest providers of financial market data and infrastructure. The company has revenue of $6.25 billion, more than 40,000 customers and 400,000 end users in 190 countries. The company provides information, insights and technologies that allow clients to make investment, trading and risk decisions.

The meeting, held at the UZCE office, was devoted to further strengthening and expanding cooperation between UZCE and Refinitiv in the development of financial markets in Uzbekistan, including further improvement of the mechanism for broadcasting exchange data.

It is worth noting that since 2020, for the first time in the history of the exchange activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan, automatically updated information about the markets and activities of UZCE is placed on the information and analytical platform Eikon of Refinitiv company on a permanent basis.

Within the framework of creating a favorable investment environment, UZCE acts as an important link in building the capital market infrastructure to attract national and foreign investors, offering a wide range of exchange instruments and services.

During the meeting, Aygun Muzaffarli presented opportunities in the field of using the company's technological solutions, which could help UZCE in the pursuit of further digitalization of infrastructure and development of exchange services.

The parties also discussed important aspects of cooperation, including the data dissemination and analysis, the development of technological solutions, the exchange of experience in the field of expanding information products, as well as further joint steps to develop the exchange markets of the UZCE.

UZCE is the largest and multifunctional exchange platform of the republic - the organizer of exchange trading on the currency, money and futures markets, as well as the government bond market, with a unique integrated system including trading platforms, settlement and clearing system and a depository.
