Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston to build two new factories in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekiston, Ltd will build two new factories in Uzbekistan. The total investment will be US$165 million, Spot reports this with reference to the company’s press service.

One of the factories for the production of soft drinks will operate in Samarkand region. The plant’s capacity will be 280 million liters of drinks per year.

The company plans to invest US$133 million in this project. At the same time, CCI International Holland B.V. will invest US$115 million in the construction of the plant.

It is expected that the new plant in Samarkand will begin operations in the second quarter of 2024 and export products to the CIS countries.

It is planned to export products from the Samarkand enterprise to the CIS countries. The launch of the facility is scheduled for the second quarter of this year.

A new plant for the production of carbonated drinks will also appear in the Namangan region. This plant will produce 198 million liters of products. The project cost is US$50 million, which will be invested by CCI International Holland B.V.

Construction work is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, with an opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.

The location of the plant in Namangan region was chosen based on its proximity to neighboring countries, which simplifies logistics for the export of finished products.

CCI Uzbekistan noted that production facilities will primarily be focused on meeting the needs of the domestic market.
Coca-Cola İçecek privatized the Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan company in September 2021. The company acquired a 57.1% stake in the state for US$252 million.
