According to ISPR press release issued Sunday, the CJCSC was briefed in detail about the facility and its output capacity followed by a visit to overhauling workshops of the factory.

The CJCSC visited this factory that beside IL series of transport aircrafts, undertakes periodical major overhauling of airframes of different aircrafts, on Friday.

General Tariq accompanied by Ruslan Mirzayev, Defence Minister of Uzbekistan also visited tank rebuild factory at Chirchiq City.

He was given a detailed briefing about the facilities available in the factory and major modifications being done to the available equipment of Russian origin armoured vehicles and tanks to suite Uzbek requirements; including research and development activities, Later, CJCSC visited VOSTOK, a state of the art ammunition production factory located in Tashkent.

On Saturday, General Tariq visited Uzbek Air Force training School at Jizzahk City. On arrival, he was presented a smartly turned out guard followed by briefing about the training being conducted in the School and visit to various training facilities.

In the evening, a dinner was hosted in honour of the CJCSC by Ismatnov, Hokim (Governor) of Samarkand.
