City Pay Gate secures licenses for crypto asset operations in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 February, Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Perspective Projects granted two licenses to the joint venture City Pay Gate for operations involving crypto assets, the agency’s press service reported.
As a result, City Pay Gate has become the country’s fourth licensed crypto depository and the tenth crypto store. The licenses were issued under orders dated February 20.
City Pay Gate is a joint venture, with 45% of its shares owned by Paynet JSC, another 45% by the Lithuanian company UAB City Pay, and the remaining 10% registered under David Koberidze.
According to the Unified State Register of Enterprises (EGRPO), the company was established in September 2024 in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent. Its authorized capital amounts to 6.51 billion soums. The enterprise is led by Eralt Hatipoglu, who also serves as the director of UAB City Pay.
