Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek citizens accused of committing crimes and placed on the international wanted list have been detained in Türkiye and the United States, the National Central Bureau of Interpol reported.

The individuals were wanted on charges including large-scale tax evasion, major fraud, and several other offenses.

According to the bureau, through negotiations, joint operational measures, and information exchange with U.S. law enforcement agencies and Interpol’s NCB in Ankara, the competent authorities in the United States and Türkiye decided to deport the detainees.

Two suspects were brought to Tashkent from New York by officers of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while another two arrived from Istanbul.

All have been handed over to representatives of Interpol’s NCB and the territorial internal affairs bodies for further investigation.
