Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The law amended legislative acts aimed at ensuring the possibility of active participation of citizens in the budget process.

In particular, the conclusions of the Accounts Chamber based on the results of an external audit and evaluation of annual reports on the implementation of the State budget and the budgets of state trust funds are subject to mandatory publication.

Ministries and departments publish on their official websites information on the use of budgetary appropriations, tenders and the delivery of purchased goods.

The process of approving reports on the implementation of local budgets in kengashes of people’s deputies will be covered in the media.

Drafts of the State budget and budgets of state trust funds, reports on their implementation, as well as the budget program for the next two years will be considered in public discussions before being submitted to the Oliy Majlis.

This Law shall enter into force on the day of its official publication.
