Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the requirements of the protocol signed by representatives of the Governments of the two countries in Bishkek on 27 January 2023, “On amendments to the agreement between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic on mutual trips of citizens from 3 October 2006 year" it was agreed to introduce a procedure according to which citizens of the two countries will use ID cards to enter, exit and move within the territory of the member states. 

By agreement between the two states, this order was announced to come into force on 25 August 2023 and its entry into force from 00:00 on 1 September 2023.

Now citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan can freely enter the Republic of Kyrgyzstan using identification ID-cards, without issuing a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan to travel abroad.

Also, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can enter, leave and stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan using national identification ID-cards.
