Citizens of Ukraine and Azerbaijan involved in drug production were detained

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan detained several individuals involved in the production and distribution of narcotic drugs in Tashkent and Tashkent region.

According to the press service of the State Security Service (SSS), the arrest was carried out as part of the fight against drug trafficking.

In Yuqorichirchiq district of Tashkent region, in one of the apartments, SSS officers discovered a clandestine drug laboratory organized by a 26-year-old citizen of Ukraine and a 23-year-old citizen of Azerbaijan.

In the apartment where the Azerbaijani citizen temporarily lived, 411 g of the synthetic drug “Alpha-PVP” and 7 kg 237 g of semi-finished synthetic drug products were found.

It turned out that these individuals organized a clandestine drug laboratory, engaged in the production and sale of synthetic drugs using raw materials delivered from abroad.

Two more cases of drug sales were identified in the city of Tashkent.

In Sergeli district, a 39-year-old local resident was detained for receiving 4 kg 799 g of the synthetic drug "Alpha-PVP", brought from a neighboring country by a passenger bus. This citizen was a member of a drug channel on Telegram and performed the functions of storing drugs for a drug dealer.

In another case, a 25-year-old resident of Yunusabad district was detained for storing 584 g of hashish in a transformer near his house. This citizen organized a channel in the Telegram messenger for the sale of drugs brought from abroad.

Criminal cases have been initiated in all three cases and the suspects have been detained.
