Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Justice registered the Resolution of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On amendments to some departmental legal documents adopted by the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan" on 26 January 2021.

According to the document, amendments were made to 7 regulations adopted by the leadership of the Central Bank, according to which citizens can use banking services using an identification ID card or national driver’s license along with a passport.

As you know, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 22 September 2020 No. UP-6065 "On measures to introduce identification ID-cards in the Republic of Uzbekistan", a system for issuing identification ID-cards has been introduced from 2021.

At the same time, in accordance with paragraph 6 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 19, 2017 No. 389 "On measures to further improve the quality and simplify procedures for the provision of public services in the system of internal affairs bodies", the national driver’s license of the new sample was assigned the status of an official state document identity.

These changes made to the normative legal act serve to prevent misunderstandings between the bank and the client related to the provision of an identity document.
