Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 39-year-old resident of the city of Kokand, Ya.M., contacted the internal affairs authorities, who reported that unknown persons had withdrawn money in the amount of 2,820,000 soums from her bank card. This was reported by the Cyber Security Center of the Operational Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the operational-search activities carried out by the cybersecurity unit of the Operative-Investigation Department, the involvement in the commission of the crime of 26-year-old resident of Yangi-Namangan district M.R. was determined.

It was established that M.R. met Ya.M. in the Telegram messenger and promised to collect votes for the Open Budget project. Having entered into trust, she sent a false link and, having fraudulently obtained the secret code of her bank card, withdrew the entire amount available there in the amount of 2,820,000 soums.

On this fact in relation to M.R. a criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, investigative actions are underway.

According to the law, for the illegal actions of M.R. punishable by imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
