With its extensive experience in emerging markets and strong global reputation, Citigroup is regarded as a key partner in Uzbekistan’s efforts to become a regional financial hub. Participants emphasized that strengthening cooperation with leading global financial institutions aligns with the country’s strategic goals in investment and economic development.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in areas such as attracting foreign investment, supporting export-oriented projects, and advancing public-private partnership mechanisms. Particular attention was given to opportunities for supporting infrastructure initiatives and sustainable growth programs.

It was also noted during the talks that Citigroup plans to open an official representative office in Tashkent in the near future. This step marks a significant milestone in expanding the partnership and will establish a permanent channel for the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan.
