Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- 1992 Olympic champion in gymnastics, 44-year-old Oksana Chusovitina, who represents Uzbekistan, will take part in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The athlete reported this on her Instagram.

For Chusovitina it will be the eighth Olympiad. At the current World Championships in Stuttgart, she failed to reach the final in the individual all-around and in certain types of programs, but managed to win a ticket to the Games.

“My dears, I can finally inform you officially that I have qualified to my eighth Olympiad. I want to say thank you all so much for your support and faith in me. We did it together,” she said.
