Christopher Duggan appointed as Canada’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has received the credentials of Christopher Duggan, the newly appointed Ambassador of Canada to Uzbekistan.
Duggan also serves as Canada’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, Saidov highlighted Uzbekistan’s active foreign policy and the growing role of Central Asian countries on the global stage.
“We see significant potential in the development of Uzbek-Canadian relations and wish the Ambassador success in strengthening existing ties, as well as in building new bridges of cooperation between our countries,” the Uzbek foreign minister emphasized.
