Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Government resolution No. 297, in small industrial zones in the territory of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara and Surkhandarya regions, production enterprises will be set up to manufacture particleboard and other similar products. Investors will be attracted to organize the production, the press service of the STC reported.

The document says that in 2019 it is planned to release 60 thousand cubic meters of chipboard and other types of pressed plates. In 2020, according to forecasts, production should reach 190 thousand cubic meters, in 2021 - 330 thousand.

Enterprises producing chipboard and similar products are exempt from customs payments for the supply of raw materials, equipment and components until 1 January 2022.

Legal entities that imported chipboard or other similar materials were previously exempted from import duties and VAT. Now, on the basis of the resolution, from 1 May 2019, these benefits are canceled.

At the same time, to develop and stimulate own production of particle board and similar building materials, it was decided to exempt from 1 January 2022 from the land tax businessmen who organized reed plantations, as well as poplars and other fast-growing trees.
