Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At present, Uzbekistan is establishing strong relations with the armies of the world’s leading countries in various areas, including in the field of training military personnel. The visits of military delegations of influential foreign countries to our country are one of the brightest examples of such cooperation.

In particular, on 17 July, a delegation of representatives of the National Defense Academy of the People’s Liberation Army of China arrived in our country, the main purpose of which is to familiarize with the work carried out in the military sphere, in particular, with the reforms and changes taking place in the military education system of Uzbekistan. The military delegation of the friendly country is headed by Major General Li Yanhua, director of the Academy of Military Administration at the National Defense University of China.

During the visit, the members of the delegation first visited the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Here the guests were met and warmly greeted on their arrival in our country by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Major General Hamdam Karshiev and senior officers of the military department.

During the visit to the Academy, representatives of the military delegation were thoroughly acquainted with the infrastructure, educational processes and educational and material base. The guests especially noted the modern conditions created in this leading military educational institution to improve the professional skills and qualifications of military personnel.

During the visit, an exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects for further strengthening mutual cooperation between the defense departments of the two countries in various areas, including in the field of military education.

Further, members of the Chinese military delegation visited the Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the memorial complex "Victory Park".
