Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation of China led by the Minister of Justice Fu Zhenghua.

The delegation also included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Ms. Jiang Yan, the Official Representative of the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, Mr. Liu Tongping and other responsible persons.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant-General Pulat Bobojonov, received the guests and spoke with them. The conversation was attended by heads of departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Addressing the welcoming speech, Minister Bobojonov, in particular, noted the gratifying fact that Mr. Fu Zhenhua had devoted his entire life to selfless service for the benefit of the peace and tranquility of the people of China, and now, at the head of a high state post, remains faithful to his principles.

As is known, the cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China covers the whole range of relations, is friendly and mutually beneficial. This cooperation, which serves the national interests of our countries, the economic development of Uzbekistan and China, as well as enhancing the authority of our states in the world community, is developing dynamically and confidently.

The recent meeting of the leaders of Uzbekistan and China in Beijing within the framework of the “One Belt - One Road” Forum has opened up new prospects for cooperation, which gives us strong confidence in our unity. Uzbekistan and China unite similar positions on topical issues of an international and regional nature, including the joint struggle against the “three evil forces” and drug trafficking, both in bilateral and multilateral formats. There are regular exchanges of visits, summits, including those within the framework of the SCO. In this context, cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Safety of China is an example of successful interaction.

During the conversation, the Chinese colleagues got acquainted with large-scale reforms and innovations that are widely implemented in Uzbekistan, and in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in particular. So they were informed about promising directions in the field of human rights protection, implemented in the GUIN system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, innovations in the system of this structure and the tasks set.

In turn, the Minister of Justice Mr. Fu Zhenhua, sincerely thanked for the warm welcome and attention, noting that relations between Uzbekistan and China have a positive development trend. He spoke in detail about the structure of the Ministry of Justice of China, a wide range of activities, innovations and development directions aimed at implementing the rule of law, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, peace and tranquility.

During the conversation, other relevant issues were discussed.
