Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the 14th International Exhibition UzCharmExpo-ShoesStar EurAsia-2023, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Uzcharmsanoat association and representatives of a leather processing enterprise located in Fujian Province, China.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the Chinese company were provided with detailed information on the practical aspects of creating and doing business in Uzbekistan. There was also a presentation on the industrial potential of our country, opportunities created for foreign investors, customs and tax benefits.

The Chinese partners, in turn, noted that they had studied in detail the production processes and the potential of Andijan and Namangan regions. Emphasizing the comfort of the business environment created in recent years in Uzbekistan, investors took the initiative to open a new enterprise in our country with 100% Chinese capital. The plant will introduce a full cycle of leather processing. The cost of the project is estimated at US$5 million.

The meeting also noted that the development of the Chinese leather industry has slowed down at present. In Uzbekistan, its steady growth is observed, which attracts the attention of investors from all over the world and creates the basis for the creation of such high-tech modern industries.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on all organizational issues related to the detailed study and subsequent implementation of this investment project.
