Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the 15th international exhibition of leather, footwear, haberdashery, fur, wool and localized products UzCharmExpo-Eurasia-2023, Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association Fakhriddin Boboev met with a delegation of representatives of industry and trade in Dongguan People’s Republic of China. 

The topic of the dialogue was the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the city of Dongguan in the field of leather and footwear, the opening of joint ventures and the exchange of experience in exhibition activities.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chinese delegation was given a presentation on the production, investment and export potential of the leather and footwear industry of our country. The guests were familiarized with the ongoing work to attract foreign brands.

More than 10 companies belonging to the Dongguan Trade Development Association will hold B2B dialogues with local entrepreneurs as part of the international exhibition UzCharmExpo-Eurasia-2023. During the negotiations, they plan to consider investment projects aimed at creating the production of artificial leather in our country, the production of leather goods in Uzbekistan on an outsourcing basis, as well as the supply of chemicals necessary for the production of leather products.

During the meeting, the heads of Dongguan Shenfeng New Material and Guandong Shenfeng Eco Technology companies expressed interest in implementing an investment project for the production of artificial leather with Uzbek entrepreneurs. According to the company’s managers, today in Uzbekistan there is a high demand for the production of this type of product. Convenient logistics and a large sales market contribute to the further expansion of product exports.

Preliminary agreements on expanding cooperation will be concluded during negotiations within the framework of the 15th international exhibition of leather, footwear, haberdashery, fur, wool and localized products UzCharmExpo-Eurasia-2023.
