Chinese delegation holds meeting at the Uzbek Commerce Chamber
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A business delegation of Jilin province of China led by deputy chairperson of People’s Political Consultative Council Lin Yanzhi is paying visit to Uzbekistan from 28 February to 2 March 2011.

The delegation included representatives of companies on ecological agriculture equipment Hoygu, on processing of timber of Linjiang city, Xiyudelun [transliterated], Yuehua [transliterated], as well as representatives of the government of Jilin province.

On 1 March, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted the meeting between the Chinese delegation with the chairperson of the Chamber Alisher Shayhov, as well as representatives of Avrora Times, and Uzbek-Chinese Trade House, which specialize on supply of modern equipment and mini-technologies.

During the negotiations, the sides considered perspectives of bilateral cooperation in production of furniture, construction materials, various fertilizers and others.

China was the second largest trade partner of Uzbekistan in 2010. The share of China in trade turnover of Uzbekistan was 9.5% in 2010. Bilateral trade turnover of these countries was US$2.805 billion in 2010, which grew by 1.7% year-on-year.

The volume of exports of Uzbekistan to China rose from US$489 million in 2009 to US$899.9 million in 2010. The imports fell from US$1.562 billion to US$1.185 billion.
