The visit is organized on initiative of the Chinese President Hu Jinato to send a delegation on assistance to trade and investment to member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Chinese leader proposed this initiative at the SCO Summit in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in June 2009.

The delegation includes representatives of over 100 Chinese business circles. The delegation will include representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of China, China Export-Import Bank, HUAWEI, Lenovo, Bell-Alcatel Shanghai, Bright Oceans Corporation, CPTDC (China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation), China National Electric Equipment Corporation, Electric Engineering Co, Chinatex Cotton Import & Export Corporation, etc.

On 7 September, the delegation will participate at the Uzbek-Chinese Business Forum and cooperation exchange, which will take place at the International Business Center in Tashkent. It is expected that the sides will sign several contracts and agreements on agreed projects within the visit.
