China to provide US$2.7bn loan to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
China will allocate a loan for US$2.7 billion to Uzbekistan, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said in his speech before the members of Senate and Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan within the state visit of Chinese President to Uzbekistan.
The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Uzbekistan last week.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of China Xi Jinping visited the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis and delivered the speeches. Uzbek Foreign Ministry published speeches of two leaders on its website.
In his speech, Islam Karimov said that Uzbekistan and China signed large number of documents after the negotiations between Presidents of two states. He underlined that the document determine perspectives and priorities of mutual beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
Uzbek leader said that the sides inked documents on allocation of credit for US$2.7 billion by China to Uzbekistan. In total, it is planned to construct objects for US$6.2 billion, he added.
