China to issue US$50m to create high technology park in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
China will direct US$50 million of investments to creation of high technology park in Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Shavkat Tulyaganov said at the Uzbek-Chinese Business Forum in Tashkent.
Shavkat Tulyaganov said that high technology park will be created in Jizzakh region. He said that in 2012 it is planned to create 15 production capacities with Chinese companies in such sectors as electrotechnical, construction, agro-industrial and machinery.
He also said that the first enterprises will be launched in the first half of 2013.
The projects within the park will be financed due to resources of the Uzbek partners and loan of the State Development Bank of China for US$50 million.
In November 2011, the State Development Bank of China and National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity signed an agreement use of loan for US$50 million to creation of high technologic park in Uzbekistan.
