According to her, China provided loans, grants and gratuitous aid to Uzbekistan for US$9 billion in 25 years.
She noted that over the past 25 years, due to Chinese preferential and commercial loans, Uzbekistan implemented or is implementing more than 60 projects in such areas as electric power, coal mining, hydropower, chemical industry, air communication, rail transport, etc.
At the same time, she added that these funds were provided on a government line and do not take into account the investment of China’s businesses.
Jin Yulong reminded that China had provided Uzbekistan funds for implementation of large projects on construction of the Angren-Pap railway tunnel, the new power unit at Angren TPP, expansion of capacities of the Kungrad Soda Plant, etc.
She noted that the parties are now jointly implementing projects on building the Angren tire plant, the PVC production complex, the Dustlik 1, 2 and 3 pump stations, the Shargun coal mine, etc.
According to her information, the Chinese side provided no-string assistance to Uzbekistan for implementation of 40 projects in the fields of education, medicine, customs, culture, agriculture, hydroconstruction, security, etc.
She reminded that today total amount of Chinese investments into Uzbekistan exceeds US$7.8 billion. More than 700 Chinese enterprises and joint ventures operate in the territory of Uzbekistan in various spheres.
“Now, the Sino-Uzbek trade and economic cooperation plays a more important role in the process of social and economic development of Uzbekistan, actively influences the modernization of industry, stimulates the employment, raises the standard of living of the population, improves the well-being of the people,” she noted.
“Implementation of the global project “One Belt - One Road” within the framework of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries is a necessary node for strengthening and deepening bilateral strategic relations," Jin Yulong said.
