The exhibition was organized by Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, Shanghai Association of Friendship with foreign states, Fund Forum, Uzbekistan Art Academy and Administration of Hongqiao District.

The exhibition “Contemporary works of famous painters of Uzbekistan” was also held in Beijing in November 2012.

The exhibition presents over 70 paintings of famous Uzbek painters as Akmal Nur, Marat Sadykov, Gafur Kadyrov, Fazulla Ahmadaliev, Hurshid Ziyahanov, Muhtarhan Isanov.

The paintings present Uzbekistan, its landscapes, culture and history, people and others. Some 300 guests from political, economic, cultural, scientific and diplomatic circles participated in the opening ceremony of the event. The exhibition will last till 12 January 2013.
