The Chinese bank and Uzpromstroybank OJSC signed a loan agreement in Tashkent within the state visit of the Chinese President Hu Jintao to Uzbekistan.

The funds were issued within the Uzbek-Chinese economic cooperation within the crediting programme of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Gazeta.uz reported.

The credit will be used to implement project on introduction of the system on management and technologic communication of gas transport network (SCADA) worth US$77.4 million. The extension of the system will be 2,000 km of optic-fiber communication line.

The project was included to list of the projects on modernization, technical and technological re-equipment, which should be implemented in 2009-2010.
