Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solar power plant with a capacity of 263 MW will be built in Buka district of Tashkent region.
According to the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the investor of this project is China Datang Overseas Investment.
In January 2024, the government of Uzbekistan and the Chinese company signed an agreement to implement this project. The agreement was approved by a decree of the head of state.
The Chinese investor will also undertake the construction of the power line.
The Chinese company is expected to invest US$150 million in foreign direct investment to the project. At the same time, National Electric Networks JSC compensates for part of the costs of constructing electrical networks.
In addition, National Electric Grids will purchase the electricity produced by this power plant for 25 years.
