Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A grand opening of the international ecotourism festival “Chimgan Echo - 2019” took place. The new format of the festival is intended to strengthen the friendly relations of the CIS countries by holding various competitions in sports tourism.

Deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan L. Kashalapova, Chairman of the Federation of Extreme and Mountain Tourism L. Kozlovsky, as well as a representative of the State Committee of Tourism took part in the official opening of the festival.

At the same time, at the opening to support new creative talents, a competition of tourist-author's song was held, in which clubs from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and others took part.

The main objectives of the festival are to foster among young people a love for a healthy lifestyle, to strengthen friendly ties with countries of near and far abroad, and also to develop sports and mountain tourism in the country.

The main program of the festival is a series of competitions in types of sports tourism, skyrunning and the ecological action “We are for clean Chimgan”.
