Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2024, 303,373 vehicles were sold in Uzbekistan, according to data from "Uzavtosanoat."
The market is still dominated by UzAuto Motors, which sold 271,221 vehicles, representing 89.4% of total sales during this period.
ADM Jizzakh sold 19,766 vehicles in the first nine months of 2024, capturing 6.5% of the market.
BYD Uzbekistan Factory, which started operations in June 2024, managed to sell 11,580 vehicles, securing a 3.8% market share.
Companies such as Jizzakh Auto (328 vehicles), SamAuto (194 vehicles), and Asaka Motors (284 vehicles) held minor positions on the market with each having a 0.1% share.
In terms of brand sales, Chevrolet is the clear leader with 271,221 vehicles sold during the specified period.
Rounding out the top three are KIA, with 12,549 vehicles sold, and BYD, with 11,580 units.
Additionally, from January to September, 5,478 Chery vehicles, 1,739 Haval vehicles, 226 Jetta vehicles, 194 Isuzu D-Max vehicles, and 132 EXEED vehicles were sold.
Analyzing the market by models reveals Chevrolet’s dominance. Six UzAuto Motors-produced vehicles made the Top 10 best-selling models.
The Chevrolet Cobalt was the top seller in the first nine months of 2024, with 99,577 units sold.
The second most popular model was the Chevrolet Damas, with 71,875 units sold, followed by the Chevrolet Tracker, which saw 31,736 units sold.
Next in line were the Chevrolet Onix (20,129 vehicles), Chevrolet Labo (19,862 vehicles), and Chevrolet Lacetti (18,060 vehicles), which took fourth, fifth, and sixth places, respectively.
The Top 10 also included the BYD Song Plus Champion DMI (4,668 vehicles), KIA Sonet (3,360 vehicles), BYD Chazor (2,860 vehicles), and Chery Tiggo 7 Pro (2,556 vehicles).
"Uzavtosanoat" clarifies that the presented data came from the manufacturers. The reports for BYD Uzbekistan Factory and Jizzakh Auto include vehicles assembled under the CBU (Completely Built-up) scheme.
