Chess tournament opens in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Fourth International Chess Tournament Tashkent Open dedicated to the first GM Georgiy Agzamov opened today in the Uzbek capital city.
Over 130 chess players from about ten countries are taking part in the tournament, including from Russia, US, Kazakhstan, Belarus and others.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs in cooperation with Uzbekistan Chess Federation. MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan, acted as general sponsor of the tournament.
