Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 April 2025, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan, Ufuk Ulutaş.

During the talks, the sides discussed current issues related to deepening interstate and interparliamentary cooperation, as well as identifying promising areas for further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

It was emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye continue to develop rapidly based on regular political dialogue and close interaction between the leaders of the two countries. Special attention was given to strengthening interparliamentary ties as an essential element of the strategic partnership.

The conversation also addressed plans for organizing reciprocal visits, conducting joint events, and exchanging experiences between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Ambassador Ufuk Ulutaş noted the importance of the agreements reached and the signed documents during the recent visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Türkiye, highlighting that these open a new stage in the development of strategic partnership. He also expressed the Turkish side's readiness to continue supporting the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to active cooperation in international and regional parliamentary structures, including the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TurkPA), and expressed their desire to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
