Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted a working meeting between the Chairman of Board of Uzbekistan Airports Rano Juraeva and the President of Wizz Air Group Robert Carey.

At the meeting, a number of issues were considered on the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level between Uzbekistan and Hungary and the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. 

In particular, the issues of expanding the geography of Wizz Air flights to the cities of Uzbekistan and increasing the frequency of flights to Tashkent, as well as introducing new destinations to European countries were discussed.

From December 2022, the Hungarian low-cost airline WizzAir for the first time began flying to Samarkand on a regular basis. Since January of this year, the carrier has connected Abu Dhabi and Tashkent with direct flights.
