Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, in the city of Hangzhou, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyar Islamov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China, Zhang Jun.

The goal of the meeting was to strengthen multilateral ties between the Supreme Courts of the two countries, with both sides focusing on the potential for effective interagency cooperation in the judicial and legal spheres. They exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation, including the specialization of courts, the introduction of modern information technologies and innovative methods into judicial practice, and discussed other relevant issues.

Special attention was given to the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Supreme Courts of Uzbekistan and China in 2024. This document has served as the foundation for further developing mutual relations and has elevated the level of bilateral interaction to a new level.

During the dialogue, the parties also discussed the exchange of experience in the widespread application of digital technologies in judicial activities, considering China’s experience in the creation of internet courts for cases related to e-commerce, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in judicial processes.
